Child’s Play

I’ve always had a passion for helping children learn and have fun. This includes interactive children’s books, educational videos, board games, just to name a few. I will always use my talents and ideas to help further generations find joy in learning, creating and exploring.

A fourth grade teacher needed help with having her students memorize the shapes and capitals of the states. I was able to create these images for a good amount of the states. I gave the students a test four months later, for the state capitals, their scores went up 200%, for the shapes, they went up 300%.

This is an alphabet I created to help students with site words. Each letter has a name, a distinct personality, and color. The students make a story about the word in the order of the letters - they could be a silly as they wanted. This doubled a lot of the lower-scoring student’s sight-word test scores.

Taller Ants is a game designed to prepare children for the diverse world they will inherit. Taller Ants is a fun, hands-on way to celebrate differences, to build connections, and to practice respect for self and others. Uniquely designed to meet kids where they’re at, Taller Ants encourages cooperation, communication, and interaction.

Designed with two different levels of play depending on the child’s age, Taller Ants reinforces knowledge of colors, numbers, basic adding, and turn-taking for children 4-7 and the more advanced concepts of respect and conflict-resolution for children aged 8-13. Both levels of play teach kids about the importance of tolerance and diversity and the dangers of bigotry.

BrainPunch, a division of Little Elephant Interactive, creates geography videos that use all the ways people learn to teach the traditionally important facts about a country, like its location, flag, and capital. The videos also go a step farther and explore the culture, history, and people of the country. This allows viewers to make connections that go beyond simply memorizing information.
