I have always been creative and artistic. Growing up on a farm in northern Minnesota, I drew what was around me, this was wildlife art and landscapes. I found great solace in drawing and painting. In college I gravitated more towards the commercial end of art and design and enjoyed a successful career. I fortunately have been able to learn many things about printing, design, illustration, animation, digital, and motion graphics.
I decided to make a career change and start giving back. I am finishing up my BA degree in Studio Arts with a focus on VR technology. During this time in school, I have won awards and scholarships, I have helped develop curriculum for the University and was a teacher’s assistant, I also have pieces displayed in national galleries. I am excited about using all of my experience in the corporate world, plus all of the skills I have learned acquiring my degree. I plan to use these skills and experience to become a K-12 art teacher.
